How Sortech Works
Sortech automatically routes incoming soiled linen to the most available picking station, identifies each item using RFID technology and sorts it into predefined categories.
Core functions include:
- Automated picking and transfer of all linen types, including large items
- RFID-based item identification
- Sorting into trolleys, weighing silos or conveyor-fed bag rail systems
- Integration with manual sorting stations when required
- Flexible layouts that adapt to small spaces
Performance & Throughput
Sortech performance is driven by its Picking Station (PKS) modules, allowing the system to scale with production needs.
- 1 PKS: up to 1,000 items per hour
- 2 PKS: up to 1,800 items per hour (single lane)
- 2 PKS with dual lanes: up to 2,000 items per hour
To prevent sorting errors, the system automatically returns mixed-category picks and correctly processes same-category items to maintain speed and accuracy.
